Summer Activities

We may be active in the winter months, but nothing can beat the summer time fun!

HIKING
Mount Margaret Trail (a 7.2 mile hike), and Disappointment Falls via Lady Moon Trail (a 6.2 mile hike), are both found amongst the Cache La Poudre Wilderness. Lady Moon Trail is a 6.2 mile hike and is part of Roosevelt National Forest.

We have 3 public lakes to fish with a valid Colorado fishing license, which you can get at the Red Feather Trading Post located in downtown Red Feathers Lakes. Call 970-881-2912 for more details.

Some people would think that mountain folk just sit next to a warm fireplace and wait for the snow to melt, well they couldn’t be more wrong. Winter time activities up here are never ending!

TUBING / ICE SKATING

You can find several lakes and or trails for these coveted activities. The Ice fishing season varies depending on seasonal weather and temperatures. The same hiking trails you use in the summer are just as enjoyable in the snow!
